CSKA sad to let Ahmed Musa join Leicester City

CSKA General Director, Roman Babaev, has admitted that he is unhappy to see Ahmed Musa sign for Premier League champions, Leicester City.

The Super Eagles winger, joined Claudio Ranieri’s side on a four-year deal for a club-record fee.
“With a heavy heart we agreed to accept this offer,” Babaev told the club’s official website.
“Over the past few years Ahmed became one of the key players for our club. At the same time we didn’t want to put up obstacles for the player who is wanted by the reigning champion of England.
“Leicester made a great offer for the club and for Ahmed. Musa has made an outstanding progress during the last four and the half years with us, we shared many unforgettable moments and he fully deserved the step up to the next level. We wish him all the success in the future career.”
Musa made his debut for CSKA in February 2012 in the Champions League match against Real Madrid. He went on to play 168 times for the Russian champions and scored 54 goals.
