The former beauty queen fiancee of Femi Fani-Kayode who was full of anticipation to see the PDP chieftain, was, however, not happy that the judge failed to appear in court again.
At the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos this morning, Precious Chikwendu, the fiancee of embattled Femi Fani-Kayode, who is facing charges of fraud and money laundering, was visibly angry as the judge failed to appear in court, again.
The outspoken former Goodluck Jonathan's presidential campaign spokesman, Fani-Kayode, was to be arraigned last Friday, but the case was postponed till Tuesday owing to the judge’s absence as no reason was given for the judge’s absence, but inside Fani-Kayode’s camp, the belief is that there is a delay tactic to keep him behind bars.
It was gathered that his beauty queen wife, Chikwendu who was fuming mad, was pacified by Fani-Kayode, but she stormed out of the court premises as the operatives of the EFCC took her husband back to custody.
It can be recalled that an Ikeja magistrate court in Lagos had ruled that Fani-Kayode could remain in EFCC custody for three weeks after his arrest on May 9.
Fani-Kayode is being investigated for allegedly receiving money meant for arms purchase from the office of the former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
