Michigan man sings his own version of Adele's "Hello" in courtroom to apologize to Judge

A Michigan man facing the music after being convicted of unlawful imprisonment and carrying a concealed weapon compose his own version of Adele's "Hello" to send his apologize to the judge, victim and his mother with a lovely voice.

Brian Earl Taylor, 21, delivered an unexpected rendition of Adele’s “Hello” to apologize for his actions before Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Darlene O’Brien and a courtroom of onlookers, according to MLive.

In a video from the hearing, Taylor rewrites the chart-topping torch song with remorseful lyrics. “Hello there, your honor,” he sings. “I want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve done, and I’ll try and be stronger in this life I chose, but I want you to know — that door, I closed. And, your honor, I’m sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.”

He goes on to apologize to his own mother and the victim in the case.

According to MLive, Taylor was sentenced to two years in prison for illegally carrying a concealed weapon and 18 months to 15 years for unlawful imprisonment. Five other charges against him in the case were dismissed.

O’Brien reportedly said Taylor was “obviously a talented young man” and expressed hope that he will take advantage of prison programs to turn his life around upon release.
