Senate Summons CBN Governor Over Depreciating Naira

The Senate has summoned the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, to explain the depreciation of the Naira and its implications for the Nigerian economy.

Federal lawmakers expressed concern that the Naira had depreciated in the last few months at a much faster rate than it had appreciated over the last two years.

The federal lawmaker, who moved the motion raised an alarm that the illicit fund flows and money laundering going through the Nigerian financial system is contributing to weakening the value of the Naira.

Okay now there is a different twist to the reports that booze the media few weeks ago, in which Rapper Tyga had a sexual relationship with transsexual actress Mia Isabella after steamy text messages between them leaked online. Enraged woman publicly accuses NEMA of stealing relief materials meant for them

During today visit of government official to the National Youth Service Camp in Damare, Adamawa State where IDP's are camped, an angry woman publicly accused NEMA officials of stealing & selling relief materials meant for Internally Displaced Persons in the state.

The coordinator for NEMA, Sa’ad Bello who was briefing Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu on his official visit to assess the conditions of the IDP camps got cut off as the woman interrupted their discussion and accused the agency of theft.

President Buhari Fires All NNPC Group Executive Directors (SEE FULL LIST)

President Buhari has sacked the Group Executive Directors (GEDs) of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation according to report.

This news comes barely one day after President Buhari appointed Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of the NNPC. The GEDs fired are Mr. Ian Udoh leading Refining and Petrochemicals, Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba leading the Engineering and Technical team.

Cameroonian Government Repatriate 12,000 Nigerian Refugees

About 12,000 Nigerian refugees, mostly from Borno state, have been repatriated by the Cameroonian government. Most of the refugees say they are being repatriated against their will. The authorities in Cameroon believe Boko Haram members are entering their country, disguising as refugees.

The Miss Bum Bum Brazil 2015 saw women flock to Sao Paulo to take part in an annual pageant which judges them on their behinds.

The contestants stopped traffic as they posed in the middle of Sao Paulo's main avenue, Avenida Paulista.

More than 500 women are competing in the pageant and 27 will be chosen to represent each of the Brazilian states, with 15 then put before the public vote in November.

Fashion designer excretes 44 wraps of cocaine (PHOTO)

Okechukwu Kingsley Ajaero a 29-year-old fashion designer,  has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over allegations of unlawful importation and possession of 44 wraps of substances that tested positive for cocaine weighing 850grammes.

According to a statement by NDLEA, Okechukwu who hails from Abia state was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos during the inward screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight arriving from Sao Paulo.

South Africa's mining sector in trouble, Minister Laments

South Africa's mining sector is in "trouble" as it struggles with widespread job losses and lower commodity prices, Minister of Economic Development Ebrahim Patel said on Wednesday.
