Buhari wants Islamic books included in Federal Schools' Curricula

President Muhammadu Buhari has called for the inclusion of two Islamic Studies books written by late Justice Muhammad Bashir Sambo in the secondary school curriculum for all Federal Government Colleges in the country. Buhari made the call at the weekend during the launching of the reviewed editions of the books.

Represented by Kaduna state governor Nasir el-Rufai, the President urged the Federal Ministry of Education to include the books, which were first published in 1974, in the curricula.

Cannibal Dog bits 55-Years-Old Woman To Death

A woman aged 55 years old has reportedly died after been bitten by a dog in Idanre, Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State. The woman identified as Florence Aladenoye died in Federal Medical Center, Owo, InfoHub reports.

It was gathered that after the attack, the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, where all attempts made by the medical personnel to save her life proved abortive as she died in the hospital.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, is presently on a visit to Maiduguri, Borno State. According to report from Y!Naija, He arrived the town in an aircraft 5N-FGV belonging to the Nigerian Air Force at 12:10pm.

Saraki is in Boko Haram’s stronghold to assess the situation at Internally Displaced Persons camps as well as to be briefed by the military about the war against Boko Haram.
