Wizkid signs management deal with Sunday Are’s List entertainment



Pop star, Wizkid, has signed a management deal with Sunday Are’s List Entertainment management company.

Wiz announced, via an Instagram post, that he is now being managed in Africa by Sunday Are.
“MR ‘Sunday Are’ making sure everything goes well in Africa. Manger toh bad. #Starboy don take over!! Yaa!!!” he wrote

Baby born same day as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to be gifted with lucky coin stamped with year of their birth


To mark the birth of the royal baby of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, a royal gift will be given to babies born same day as the royal baby.

According to UK Daily Mail, The Royal Mint announced it will mark the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second child in the same way it commemorated the arrival of Prince George in 2013.

Parents of newborns who share a birthday with the new prince or princess, due later this month, will have to register the birth of their child on The Royal Mint's Facebook page to receive the commemorative gift.

A new report from WHO suggest that persons who survive from deadly Ebola virus are at risk of having eye and joint problems.

According to WHO doctors, a substantial proportion of patients have reported problems with their vision and joints.

31 Moroccan Young Athletes killed as tour bus burst into flames following collision

A bus carrying Young Moroccan Athletes between the age of 14 - 15 years who where returning from a sports competition has been gutted by fire after their bus had a head collision with a petrol tanker which left about 31 of the children dead and about 9 others seriously injured

The tour bus, carrying the young athletes and their coaches, crashed into the truck, which may have been carrying petrol, early this morning near the southern Moroccan city of Tan-Tan.
Most victims were killed by a fire that broke out on the bus straight after the crash.

Meet the New World Oldest Person Living, Jeralean Talley


She is 115 years, Jeralean Talley is now the world's oldest person after Monday's death of fellow American Gertrude Weaver, who would have turned 117 on July 4, Talley is the oldest person recorded by the Los Angeles-based Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

She is an African American, born in the Southern US state of Georgia at the tail end of the nineteenth century on May 23, 1899.

The OSCAR Awards announces dates for next 3 Years



The Academy and the ABC Television Network have announced the dates for the 88th, 89th and 90th Oscar presentations.

According to them, The Academy Awards will air live on ABC on Oscar Sunday, February 28, 2016, February 26, 2017, andMarch 4, 2018, respectively.

The 88th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood.

While it will be aired live by the ABC Television Network, The Oscar presentation will also be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

Press Statement from INEC ahead of Saturday's Election



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received reports that some political leaders are asking members of the public to disregard its stated resolve to use Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and Smart Card Readers (SCRs) for the April 11, 2015 Governorship and State Assembly elections. 
A particular state governor in the North Central geo-political zone is reported to have assured voters in the state that they could come out to vote on Election Day with Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) if they do not have the PVC, and that INEC will not be allowed to insist on the use of SCRs for voter accreditation.

Joe Achuzia blast Danjuma over comment made to Former Biafran Leader Late Ojukwu


Former Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo and officer in the Biafran Army, Col Joe Achuzia has blasted former Chief of Army Staff, General Theophilus Danjuma (retd) over his comments that if former Biafran Leader, late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, had conceded defeat quickly during the 1967-1970 civil war like President Goodluck Jonathan did after the 2015 presidential polls, Nigeria would have been saved one year of bloodshed.

Danjuma spoke on Wednesday shortly after a closed-door meeting with President Jonathan, who visited him at his Abuja residence.

Reacting to Danjuma’s comment, Achuzia said: “I am happy that my friend Danjuma owned up that there was bloodshed and pogrom against the people of Biafra. I don’t understand what he meant by Ojukwu conceding defeat. If the Federal Government had implemented the Aburi Accord, the bloodshed would have been avoided.
