Shiite militias celebrated jihadi's death by waving assault rifles in the air (Graphic Image)


Members of the Iraqi Army and allied Shiite militias have posed for gruesome photographs with the bloodied remains of an Islamic State fighter according to a report from UK Daily Mail

Celebrating with their assault rifles in the air, the black-clad Shiite militants are seen posing with the jihadi's corpse at the frontline of fighting close to the central Iraqi city of Tikrit.

Standing over the battered corpse in the back of a blue pick-up truck, the Iran-backed militias stand alongside members of the Iraqi Army, which launched a large-scale offensive to recapture the city - best known as the home town of late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein - earlier this month.

Unknown Gunmen kill Commissioner’s brother in Rivers State


Gunmen dressed in military uniform killed a relative of the Rivers state Commissioner for Power, Mr Austin Wokocha at the commissioner's home in Okposi Onelga community in Rivers state yesterday Monday March 23rd according to report from LIB

According to Channels TV, the gunmen attacked the homes of the Commissioner and that of an APC Chieftain in the community on Monday night. A fight which lasted into the early hours of Tuesday morning broke out between the gunmen and some APC supporters in the party chieftains house, leading to the death of the young man, Samson Orike. The Rivers State Police said the crisis was between two political parties.

Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao admits he needs to find a place where he can play


Manchester United's on-loan striker Radamel Falcao hinted on Tuesday he could leave the club at the end of the season in search of more regular football, but said he was still committed to the English side.

She also use the opportunity to advise the youths of Ondo to pursue their education, stressing that if she wasn't educated, she wouldn't be a first lady; 

"Majority of the people of Ondo are educated and I believe you know the importance of education because without education there is no future. We should thank God for the administration of Goodluck and PDP. If somebody is talking and you are not educated, can you be there? If Hilary Clinton is talking and you are not educated, can you be there? As Mimiko (governor of Ondo) is there, without education can he be there? As I am standing before you, if I am not educated, will they choose me?” she said

APC warns Disqualifying Buhari will plunge Nigeria into crisis


The All Progressives Congress, APC, has warned against any orchestrated, last-minute disqualification of its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, in order to pave the way for an easy victory for President Goodluck Jonathan or even another postponement of the elections.

About 10 suits seeking the disqualification of Mr. Buhari on grounds of lack of requisite educational qualification are presently being heard at the Federal High Court Abuja.

Court orders NCC to pay APC N500m as Buhari's presidential disqualification suit is set for tomorrow


The suit which seeks to disqualify the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has been adjourned to Wednesday.

The Consolidated suit which is centred around his certificate saga had earlier been fixed for today at the Federal High Court Abuja.

If granted, Buhari would be disqualified from the presidential race on grounds of lack of educational qualification..

The young star whose full name is Christopher James Hardman came into limelight on Channel 4's Rock School before signing a record deal with RCA. A statement released by Suffolk Police said that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Watson reportedly passed away on Saturday (21.03.15) in the arms of her husband, Ken, at Kensington Hospice in Toronto, Canada, after a lengthy cancer battle, a spokesperson from her talent agency has confirmed.
