US pop princess Katy Perry said Thursday she was full of emotion as she visited Auschwitz, the infamous World War II-era Nazi German death camp in southern Poland that has come to symbolise the Holocaust.

"My heart was heavy today. For ever (sic) let this place be a cry of despair and a warning to humanity," Perry said in a post on her official Twitter account linked to a photo of the camp taken during her visit Wednesday and showing its barbed-wire fences and red brick buildings.

Fresh from her highly publicised US Super Bowl half-time show, the 30-year-old singer is currently on her marathon 12-month Prismatic World Tour ending in May.

A suicide bomber, Thursday, blew himself up at a crowded bus station in Biu, in Borno state, on Thursday, leading to 18 deaths, AFP reports. However, another bomber was shot dead by soldiers before he could detonate his explosives.

“At least 18 people, including three women, died… and several others were injured,” Babagana Kyari, a civilian vigilante told AFP.

The attack happened after two men arrived the Tashar Gandu motor park in the town, before one detonated his explosives among passengers and vendors, witnesses said.

Congratulations to Manchester United for securing a contract extension for Defender Tyler Blackett, the contract is expected to run until June 2017 with the option of an extra year.

Manchester United have handed a new contract to Tyler Blackett, which sees the defender committed to Old Trafford until at least June 2017.

Academy product Blackett, 20, made his debut for United against Swansea City on the opening day of the 2014-15 Premier League season and has gone on to make 10 appearances in all for the club.

He has been rewarded for his progress with a fresh two-and-a-half-year deal, with an option to extend his stay for a further 12 months.
