Pink is the next to go nude in the social media, a trend that seems rampant with lot of them owing it to the fact that "they are now proud of their body" The pop star is the latest A-list name to shed her clothes for the animal rights organization, following in the footsteps of Eva Mendes and Khloé Kardashian in its I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur campaign.
For the stunning black and white still Pink shows off her bare body, flaunting her toned figure and numerous tattoos.
While she shuns fur now, that hasn't always been the case for the 35-year-old.
"I would like to say I've always been fur-free. Unfortunately, I went through a selfish phase and wore fur on a couple of occasions," she admitted. "But I wised up and now boycott fur completely."
To show just how strongly she feels, Pink shared her sentiments on those who chose to don the furs of animals.
"I wish everyone was forced to learn the horrors that these animals go through for fashion trends. I hope fur-wearers get bitten in the ass by the same kind of animal they wear on their back," she said.
PETA's latest ad has been unveiled just ahead of the start of New York Fashion Week, which kicks off tomorrow. The photo appears in a 90-foot wide billboard in the city's Time Square.
"I'd rather go naked than wear fur," is written in pink lettering, with the tagline, "Be comfortable in your own skin and let animals keep theirs," appearing in white underneath.
PETA UK has tweeted its support for the campaign.
"P!nk teamed up with PETA US and @ruvenafanador to make a point to the fur trade! (sic)," it posted.
