Everton manager Roberto Martinez says he has not a clue about any transfer request made by defender John Stones.
This is on the backdrop of a report by the Sun that the England international is considering handing in an official request in an attempt to force a big-money move to Chelsea.
Martinez completely denied being privy of any information regarding a move by the 21-year-old to quit the Merseyside club, while also reiterating he is not for sale.
Offers of £20m and £26m have already been rejected by Everton; Martinez remained coy when quizzed on a reported third offer of as much as £30m.
Chelsea are reportedly looking to sign the central defender, who can also play as a full-back, as a replacement for their 34-year-old skipper John Terry, who was substituted during the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City last Sunday.
Instead, the Spanish boss emphasised he will have no worries naming Stones in his team for Sunday’s clash with table-topping Manchester City.
“(Stones) has been the hot topic of this transfer window,” he said. “My only concern is preparing for the game.”
