Manchester United winger Nani has finally completed a transfer to Turkish giants Fenerbahce after he under went a medical with the club before signing a deal believed to be in the region of £4.25 million.
United confirmed the news on their official website and wished the winger, who joined the club from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, well in the new chapter in his career.
Nani makes the move away from Old Trafford after spending last season on loan at Sporting despite signing a new five-year deal with the Red Devils in September 2013.
Although he did not form part of Louis van Gaal's long-term plans, the 28-year-old admitted on Monday his transfer to Fenerbahce had offered him the chance to show everyone what he can still do on the pitch.
"I really am very happy to be here now," he told the club's official website.
"I see this as a new opportunity in my career. This is an opportunity for me to show myself. I want to be successful."
Nani leaves United having won four Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy in his eight-year stay at the club.
The winger - who scored 41 goals in 230 appearances for the Red Devils - could now return to Old Trafford next month with Fenerbahce being a potential opponent for Van Gaal's side in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
