Manchester United today announce the signing of both Germany International Bastian Schweinsteiger and French Midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin from Bayern Munich and Southampton respectively.
Bastian Schweinsteiger completed his move to United after penning down a three year contracts for a fee of £15m while Morgan Schneiderlin signed a four year deal for a fee in the region of £25million.
Speaking about his move to Old Trafford, which United can extend by a further year, Schneiderlin said: "I am delighted to be a Manchester United player.
"Once I learned that United were interested in signing me, it was a very easy decision to make.
Schweinsteiger also revealed that his decision to leave the reigning Bundesliga champions was a difficult one, but he is keen to start a new challenge with the Red Devils.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bayern Munich, it has been an incredible journey and I didn’t take the decision to leave lightly. Manchester United is the only club that I would have left Munich for," he told the club's official website.
