Don't know why she never agreed to this engagment but I am sure it was a big shock for her. This is a true story of a guy who posted this video on youtube and the video has since gone viral. The guy decided to proposed to his girlfriend of two years at the McDonald's restaurant where they first met with a ring stuck in the bun of a Crispy Chicken Deluxe meal, but it all turn not as plan as his gilfriend branded it as a "joke."
He said:
"I met my girlfriend 2 years ago in LA. I've never been good at planning in advance which is why we wound up ending our first date at this exact McDonalds. She joked for months about how 10 years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love when I surprised her this way. She didn't love it like the way I thought she would. We agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged," the man wrote in the description of the video on YouTube.
The slightly over five-minute long video opens with the man picking up his girlfriend and inviting her to get something to eat. The couple is then shown at the unidentified McDonald's drive-thru where the man orders the Crispy Chicken Deluxe meal with a Diet Coke.
After getting the meal he tells his girlfriend to open the sandwich to make sure there isn't too much Mayonnaise.
"This is so weird," she says in the video. But she complies and opens the box containing the meal and begins to chuckle and gazes at him in what appears to be disbelief.
"Will you marry me?" he blurts out after a while.
She remains silent and looks down at the sandwich then back at him, laughs hysterically, covers her mouth and says "you're not serious."
"You can't do this. You can't do this," she continues.
"Say something," her bewildered suitor replies.
"This is not what you do," she then tells him in protest staring at the ring atop the bun of the sandwich. The man then takes the ring off the sandwich and places it on her finger and says "surprise!" rather sheepishly.
"Babe, what's wrong" he then asks obliviously with a kiss to her forehead as she cries while holding the sandwich.
"This is a joke," she finally says. "I can't marry you in a chicken sandwich. … My God. Oh my God," she continues in disbelief, covering her face with her hands in embarrassment.
"I mean, I thought it was a surprise," he says.
"I can't marry you," she tells him definitely as he tries to comfort her. "This isn't a joke. I know everything is a joke with you but this isn't a joke. ... I can't marry you."
"What do you mean you can't marry me?" he asks.
"You just asked me on a bun," she says.
