Janet Jackson announces Unbreakable World tour plans

In what seem to has over due, Janet Jackson has finally announced plans for her first tour in four years, to promote forthcoming album, Unbreakable.

The pop superstar, who recently revealed that she's due to release her eagerly-anticipated album later this year, will kick off the first 36-date leg of the tour in Vancouver on August 31.

Continuing through North America until November 12, the star will then add more worldwide dates to the schedule.

Jackson, whose last record was 2008’s Discipline, has said that she’s open to “both new and established recording artists” in a statement on her website.

Putting the rumours to rest, BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch said:
“Janet is not just a supreme artist, she is a unique cultural force whose work resonates around the world.
“It is an honor that she has chosen BMG to release her long-awaited new album. We look forward to collaborating with her across every platform.”
