The Kano state chapter of the Nigeria Police has apprehended one Sani Salisu a serving police officer for raping a 7 years minor.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Magaji Majiya, in Kano on Friday.
“The command wishes to inform the public that, in its effort to flush out the bad eggs from the force, it has arrested a serving member of the force, Cpl. Sani Salisu.
“He was arrested for luring and taking advantage of a seven-year-old girl inside a kiosk located at Mangoron Mahauta Brigade Qtrs., Kano,’’ it said.
It further added that the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had directed that the case be transferred immediately to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
“The public will be informed of any further development on the case,” it added.
