#Xenophobic Attack: Kenya ready to evacuate nationals from SA

I just hope the South Africa government is doing something really fast about this callous act of his citizen against fellow africans ... And we stand and cry about Racism but yet imagine what you people are doing to your black skin brothers ... This is a shame!

Following the xenophobic attacks in Durban, Kenya said it is ready for any eventuality and has a plan in place to evacuate its citizens from South Africa should the need arise.

The Kenyan foreign ministry released a statement on the official Kenyan government website saying it is monitoring the situation closely and will act to ensure the safety of Kenyan nationals.

See the full statement below ...
In the statement, Kenyan foreign affairs minister, Amina Mohamed, said, "The Kenyan Mission in South Africa is working closely with local leaders within the Kenya Diaspora to monitor the situation and is ready to render assistance to any Kenyan national who may be adversely affected."
According to the statement, there are about 400 Kenyan nationals in Durban and an additional 300 Kenyans studying or lecturing in Kwazulu Natal University in Pietermaritzburg.
Mohamed told Kenyan radio station, Capital FM on Tuesday, "We don’t have any direct casualties. We have planned for an evacuation but some of the Kenyans have actually voluntarily moved to a camp but not in large numbers, but that could increase."
She said officers from the Kenya Mission are scheduled to visit the area from Friday to meet with Kenyans and assess their situation.
