Bruce Jenner allegedly ‘began gender transition far back as1980s’

Okay so this Bruce Jenner transition story did not just start recently. report says he began the process of gender reassignment 30 years ago but put it on hold when he met Kris Kardashian Jenner.

The former athlete was set on becoming a woman in the 1980s and even visited doctors before he began dating his future wife. A source close to the star reportedly told Entertainment Tonight that the 65-year-old started ‘hormone therapy’ and had ‘electrolysis.’

Jenner was also allegedly influenced by transgender tennis player Renee Richard's 1983 autobiography, Second Serve.

The pro athlete met Kardashian matriarch, Kris, in September 1990 and the pair became quickly engaged before marrying in April 1991.

Announcing their separation in October 2013, after 22 years of marriage, the couple finalised their divorce in December 2014.

Jenner is expected to address all of the rumours surrounding his transition in his eagerly-awaited two-hour interview with Diane Sawyer.

While many supporters have branded the move as ‘brave’, transsexual author Jennifer Boylan thinks that doing the interview is a mistake.

She said: “If I had advice I would don’t do a television show until your transition is complete.
“You don’t know where this journey is going to leave you and doing your transition in a very public way as I did means that to some degree you come out as a transsexual woman rather than coming out as a woman.”
The lengthy 20/20 interview, which airs in the US on Friday, is expected to put to rest all of the rumours and speculation that Jenner has faced over the last few months.
