Real Madrid Castilla manager Zinedine Zidane is currently on a three-day trip to Bayern Munich training facilities and club offices to observe and learn from Munich coach Pep Guardiola. Zidane is one of the seven French coaches to have taken up the trip.
Zidane was joined on Monday by Bordeaux manager Willy Sagnol and former Bastia boss Claude Makelele – who are all looking to obtain their UEFA Pro Level Three Licence. Guy Lacombe, Franck Thivillier, Claude Le Roy and Bernard Diomede are the other managers who have made the trip.
The delegation met up with Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge at the club offices at Säbener Straße and are set to observe Guardiola’s training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This isn’t Zidane’s first trip looking to enrich his coaching knowledge and has previously travelled to Marseille in December to see Marcelo Bielsa. The legendary French footballer has also visited Lyon previously to take part in licence procedures.
Zidane, who has been heavily tipped to take over the Real Madrid senior team in the future, currently manages the Los Blancos reserve team, Castilla. Zidane is enduring a tough season with Real Madrid Castilla, having lost four consecutive matches recently and have slipped to seventh place in the Segunda B Group II.

Zidane's assistants David Bettoni and Santi Sanchez will be in charge of Castilla training sessions until he returns from Munich.
