As simple as it looked on Sunday night, you won't believe Bey actually rock jewelry that's worth $10 million, would you beat that. According to Cover Media, Beyoncé Knowles has no problem mixing things up when it comes to her manicure.
Beyoncé Knowles donned jewellery worth over $10million for Sunday night's Grammy Awards.
It was a great night for the 33-year-old singer, who picked up the best surround sound album prize for her record Beyoncé, the best R&B performance gong for Drunk in Love and the best music film accolade for On the Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z.
So it was fitting that she went all out with her look too, opting for a staggering amount of jewels as the finishing touch to her black sparkly Proenza Schouler gown.
According to People, the star chose over $10million of pieces created by Lorraine Schwartz. Among those were 100 carats of diamond rings and 50 carats of emeralds. Her earrings combined the two stones and were 80 carats.
As the focus was on her hands, the star's manicurist Lisa Logan decided to dial back on the polish.
“Beyoncé wore her hair down in a bohemian way, and her custom Proenza Schouler dress was very feminine yet diva-like, so we kept the nails nude to let her Lorraine Schwartz jewels pop against the black dress,” she told the publication. “Beyoncé wanted her nails to be clean, subtly sexy and still classic since she was also performing.”
To get the look the star's nails were cleaned and primed, before being filed into a short almond shape. They were finished with a double coat of a cappuccino-coloured varnish, which Lisa thinks was the perfect option. She explained that Beyoncé likes to keep things fresh, which is why she has no problem changing up the colours she uses on her nails.
“Beyoncé is really able to pull off anything, and she likes to mix it up. Last year, we did a gorgeous jewel tone so this year we went to the other end of the spectrum. She makes an impact no matter what!” Lisa gushed.
