The glamorous singer was a surprising no-show at Tom Ford's Autumn/Winter 2015 womenswear collection presentation in Los Angeles on February 20. However, it wasn't due to tardiness but rather an unfixable outfit disaster that prevented her from taking her front-row seat.
"Beyoncé had a huge wardrobe malfunction at the show. Her dress ripped all the way up the back and she had to run backstage to find something else to wear," a source has revealed to Us Weekly.
While A-listers including bestie Gwyneth Paltrow as well as Reese Witherspoon and Amy Adams held court front and centre, Bey was forced to miss the show entirely. With the show a typical run-time of less than five minutes, despite their best efforts, her dress wasn't able to be mended in time.
"The people back there couldn't get it fixed in time, so she had to miss the show. Beyoncé was so embarrassed, [but] she was really cool about it," the insider continued.
By the time she did reappear, taking photos with husband Jay Z following the presentation, the 33-year-old was looking as fabulous as ever having changed into a stunning number from the Spring 2014 collection. The black crystal mosaic gown just skimmed her thighs and featured a sheer floor-length skirt with lace trim on the bottom, as well as sheer sleeves.
A true professional, she showed no signs of stress as she posed up a storm, beaming from ear to ear. She even got a photo op with the designer du jour, despite having missed his show.
