Since the emerge of the 2015 Election, it has been a divided house in our music industry as some team decided to stay glue with PDP Presidential Candidate, Goodluck Jonathan, while others choose to stick with the APC Presidential Candidate, in person of Gen Buhari and running mate Osibanjo. Next to make the switch to the APC camp is our own +Waconzy .
As news of the shift in elections date hit the nation and politicians continue to impress Nigerians with their haul of local entertainers, Waconzy has swelled the rank of entertainers who have pitched their tent with the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo.
The singer called out to Nigerians, via a Twitter post, to vote for the duo in the forth-coming general elections if they want a better future for the youth.
He wrote: “I am no politician and never have been [one], but it’s time we stand up for something. No Western country agreed to sell arms to us or help us fight terrorism because they believe we have the ability to. We have watched and seen results over the years.
“People have died, so much money has gone missing and the fuel subsidy brought no results. No thief/culprit was ever brought to justice, money lost value, no steady power. Who is to blame; me, you or the people in charge?
“Don’t let nobody deceive you no more! There is no such thing like ‘my vote don’t count’, because it will this time around. My advice is this: Don’t vote for a party, vote for the best candidate.
“But me and my people will vote for change. We will vote Buhari for president and Dakuku Peterside as Rivers State governor. Don’t get it twisted; nobody paid me a dime to put up this post. I am just a concerned Nigerian that will always speak out. Do you feel me?”
