I lost my voice and thought my Career was Over during My Pregnancy - Kelly Clarkson

Mother of one Kelly Clarkson said the complications she had during her child birth made her afraid she might never be able to sing again after giving birth to her first child.

The 'Heartbeat Song' hitmaker, who welcomed daughter River Rose into the world last June with husband Brandon Blackstock, admits she temporarily lost her voice at the time and thought her career was over.

The 32-year-old star, who recorded her upcoming album, 'Piece By Piece,' while she was pregnant, said: ''Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day because I thought my life was over. I was like, 'Oh God, I'm not going to be a singer anymore.' You don't know what's happening with your diaphragm and breathing. I have really big songs so it takes a lot of air.

''I was bawling to my husband and completely hammered, just going, 'Oh my God, it's over. I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess I could do more charity work.' I didn't know what I was going to do.''

Kelly was relieved when her voice eventually returned, but admits the scare was just one of a number of pregnancy complications she experienced.

Discussing her severe morning sickness, she told 'ET Canada': ''It was bad, I mean projectile like 20 times a day. It was the worst.''

But she still wants to have more children.

She said: ''Yes [I do want more], but only because she came out awesome. I literally have the happiest baby.''
