Bobbi Kristina Brown's friend has broken his silence amid reports he could be responsible for the incident which caused her hospitalisation.
Max Lomas, who has reportedly been friends with Bobbi Kristina for “many years”, has revealed his devastation at her being found unconscious in the bath of her Roswell, Georgia home on Saturday.
In a statement to Us Weekly, his attorney, Philip A Holloway, insisted Lomas is not a person of interest in the investigation and was actually the one who discovered her unconscious and called the police while her “husband”, Nick Gordon, administered CPR.
“Contrary to what's been reported, my client, Max Lomas, was the person who first discovered Bobbi Kristina and called 911,” Holloway's statement read. “My client wants nothing more than to see a full recovery. He and Krissi have been friends for many, many years, and he is absolutely devastated and prays for her immediate recovery.”
Holloway continued that Lomas has “not been accused of anything” in relation to the incident and is simply a witness in the investigation.
It was previously reported that Lomas' history of drug possession could prove to be a key factor in the 21-year-old's incident after police seized what family members told TMZ they believed to be drugs following a second search of her home.
However, Holloway insisted his arrest in January for possession of drugs with intent to distribute is in no way related to this case and his client is doing everything in his power to “cooperate with authorities”. A press release revealed that Lomas pleaded not guilty to these previous charges.
“Mr. Lomas' main focus is on Ms. Brown's full recovery, and he continues to pray for her and her entire family throughout this tragedy,” Holloway stated.
On Tuesday, the still-unconscious daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the top facilities specialising in neurology.
On Wednesday, her father, who turns 46 on February 5, was seen arriving to visit his daughter, amid reports of bad blood between the Brown and Houston families in relation to her treatment.
The previous day, the R'n'B singer issued a statement through his attorney, Christopher Brown, in which he revealed that his daughter was not in fact legally married to Nick Gordon, whom Whitney had regarded as her son.
“To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon,” the statement read.
