Feud: Lil Wayne Planning to Sue Cash Money Record in Other to Have Drake and Minaj with Him

Amid intense feud between Cash Money Record and Lol Wayne, a new report has emerge that Lil Wayne is reportedly planning to take Drake and Nicki Minaj from Cash Money Records.

The 32-year-old rapper is currently feuding with the hip hop label, blaming them for delaying the release of his new album, Tha Carter V.

And TMZ claims the disagreement has escalated, with Wayne threatening to sue Cash Money in addition to taking away their biggest acts, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

“Wayne plans to sue to ensure all his Young Money Entertainment artists remain under HIS umbrella,” the website writes.

“Drake, Nicki, Christina Milian, and Lil Twist are all signed to Wayne's label. Mack Maine is also a YME artist, and the label's president.

“Even though [Cash Money co-founder] Birdman was integral in molding Drake and Nicki's careers ... we're told Weezy believes the superstars should go with him because their contracts are with YME.”

Drake, Nicki Minaj, Christina Milian and Lil Twist are all signed to both Cash Money and Young Money. The problem lies in the fact Cash Money owns the distribution deals for Young Money artists, which means this matter of severing ties will probably have to be settled in court.

Apparently Wayne wants millions from Birdman's enterprise because he's livid about his LP release delay.

Grammy-winner Wayne signed to Cash Money in 1991 when he was just nine years old.

But in December the musician made it clear he wants nothing to do with the label anymore.

“I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don't blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u (sic),” he wrote to his over 19 million Twitter followers. “To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. This is not my fault.”

Tha Carter V was originally due for release December 9, 2014.
